badges yee mean.. i am actually just taking a break from making some. At first i thought yippee i have a badge maker, and whooohoo it is fun ... but now i think fuck i've got to make badges! it hurts my wrists and you get really pissed off when they start to go wrong... BUT badges are wonderful. I sell mine for a £1 each at the market and it amazes me how much money i can make just from the badges. I also throw them in as freebies from time to time with large orders or when i mess up and i always get a happy response of thanks back!

i bought my badge maker off ebay (gerd_jutta) - it's a german brand and seems to be doing the trick.

i did however get my first set of badges off a website based in england and the badges i got back where awful. I didn't really notice at the time but now i look at the few i have lying about and they are printed by inkjet so really blurry and they rusted really easily. Make sure you get a good quality pint out - i get mine printed digitally!

Actually, presses are surprisingly cheap, I don't know why I presumed it would be hard for me to make them myself, although I do think I'll outsource my first batch since I've found a UK company with competitive prices.

Mine aren't going to be anything that amazing, just HYA* in the logo light blue with a grey background, maybe in the future I'll do some collaborations with artists for something more exciting.

If I wore pins, I would be all over that; but since I don't... my input is pretty worthless on this one.

I actually have my own little pin press that I use for Quixotic, so I'd be doing it all myself.

Maybe we'll have to have a button off!

Interesting, I was thinking of doing something very similar, and when I say similar, I mean *exactly* the same!

$3.50 seems to be about the going rate, any chance you wanna reveal your source for pins? I'm looking at busybeaver.net for my order, although something local would probably be better for me.
