Idea Thieves
A while back (two years ago, probably) I had this idea to start printing shirts that I had seen in movies. I can remember the moment perfectly. I had watched Real Genius earlier that day and I really wanted the "I [heart] Toxic Waste" shirt Val Kilmer’s character was wearing.
Then, about a year later, I’m wandering around the internet and I come across Preshrunk‘s blog and they were featuring a shirt by a company called Found Item Clothing. Guess what they did. They ripped me off. Yes, they stole the idea that pretty much sat in the back of my head and probably would never have gone anywhere and actually made it work. Pretty well, too.
I’m not super familiar with all of the movie references they have, but the few that I do recognize are pretty spot on with what you actually see in the movies. And they’re fairly cheap, too. They range from about $19.95 to $21.95 and they’re printed on American Apparel.
